I qualified as a dentist in 1984, having trained for five years at King's College Hospital School of Medicine and Dentistry. I started my professional career working in the field of oral and maxillo-facial surgery in a number of hospitals in the south of England before going into general practice.

I spent five years as a principal in Oxford before moving Bournemouth in 1992. I initially worked at Beechwood Dental as an associate dentist before becoming the principal dentist.

I attend many post graduate courses in order to keep up with latest developments and innovations in dentistry. I have developed a further interest in cosmetic dentistry, especially adult orthodontics and facial rejuvenation and I am an Associate Member of the European Society of Aesthetic Orthodontists.

I am married with four sons and outside dentistry I enjoy a busy family life and playing the saxophone. I am actively involved in my local Rotary Club and like to support the charity Dentaid. In 2015 I was lucky enough to travel with them to Uganda to provide much needed dental care.

Most of my working life has been in the care industry as a health care assistant, however |I felt that something was missing, so I decided to pursue my goal and train as a dental nurse. I qualified in 2015 and have never looked back. I really enjoy my job as every day is different and I never stop learning. I would love to further my education by developing further skills and knowledge in radiography and oral health education.
